I couldn't figure out how to search for the answer to this one. So the answer is one I may keep a-hold of for a while. I have a 'central database' tracking our 'process documents'. They are similar (though not exactly) to ISO 9000 documents. Previously I did this database in the 2003 version, and for 'security', I had found how to 'protect' the documents programmatically. I had to be able to let certain users 'lock' and 'unlock' the documents for editing, when changes to the processes recorded were discovered. Identify the stakeholders involved in business activities description. Now I'm re-working the database for 2010, the 'company' recently (2012) moving to Access 2010.
So I thought that instead of locking and unlocking a Word document, I'd let certain users edit the.docx, and then, once they were done, 'release' the document to the rest of the workplace via.pdf. So how do I 'print to.pdf' a word document from an Access database? (Basically set to the click of a button.) I know it's going to be possible. Just don't know the method. I'm not 'printing' a report to PDF or anything. Just taking a document in one path and saving as a pdf in another path.
